梅竹村是榃滨镇的行政村，村名取自辖区内两个地名各一字。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1957年，本地依区、乡制设立梅竹乡。次年公社化，改为榃滨公社下的梅竹大队。1983年改设梅竹乡，隶属榃滨区；1986年改为村委会，1989年一度设管理区，1999年恢复为梅竹村村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
1993年获认定为革命老区。[1]
经济[edit]
2020年8月，本村在首批「广东省一村一品、一镇一业专业村」名单中入选，产业为肉桂。[1]
文化[edit]
2023年4月，本村列入「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位名单。[1]
