湴田村是榃滨镇西面的行政村，距镇政府约13公里，是山多田少的山区村。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

辖区内多冷底深湴的农田，村名由此而来。[1]

1700年，王氏先祖国兴公自双东一带迁入，成为本村委最早落居的一支，其后刘氏、孔氏先后迁来。[2]

1958年，此地划归榃滨公社田岭生产大队。1960年另立一个大队，名为湴田大队。1983年改设湴田乡，隶属榃滨区；1986年改为村委会，1989年一度设管理区，1999年恢复村委会名称。[2]

1993年获认定为革命老区。[2]
