永坑村是榃滨镇西南面的山区村，2019年底有村民1554名。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

胡氏先人于1580年从罗定罗城一带迁来，成为本村委最早落居的一支，其后胡、黄、李等姓陆续迁入。[2]

村名的来历是：村内一家名叫永兴的商店曾使村名称作永兴村；村前的山坑细长、流水不绝，于是改称永坑。[2][3]

此地于1958年归榃滨公社的永坑生产大队，1983年改设永坑乡，隶属榃滨区。1986年改为村委会，1989年一度设管理区，1999年恢复村委会名称。[2]

经济[edit]

村中种植肉桂至少有200年历史，是当地的特色产业。[3]

文化[edit]

本村曾列入「2019年广东省卫生村」名录。[3]
