古范村建于1567年，初称古范，属泷水县。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清末属罗定州城东南乡，民国期间归罗定县第六区。1950年改隶第二区（苹塘区），1953年5月转归第十区（围底区）管辖，1956年11月改归苹塘区。[1]

1958年设大队，归围底公社；1961年转入华石公社。1983年8月，大队撤销后改设乡；1986年11月至1989年1月乡制取消，改设村委会，属华石乡；1989年2月起划入华石镇。[1]

姓氏宗族[edit]

陈氏始祖于1475年迁入，形成本村最早的村落，此后梁、莫、张、赵等姓相继迁入。现有陈、梁、莫、张、赵五姓，最大姓为陈姓，占78%。[1]
