雅言村建于1537年，初称雅言，属泷水县。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
清末属罗定州城东南乡，民国期间归罗定县第六区。1950年改隶第二区（苹塘区），1953年5月转归第十区（围底区）管辖，1956年11月改归苹塘区。[2]
1958年设雅言大队，归大湾公社；1961年转入华石公社，1983年大队改为乡，归华石区管。[2]
文化[edit]
2019年9月，雅言村上榜「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
