庙岗村是金鸡镇的一个行政村，1688年建村，初称庙岗寨，属罗定州五都金鸡乡[1][2]。

历史沿革[edit]

庙岗村建于1688年，初称庙岗寨，隶属罗定州五都金鸡乡。民国时归罗定县第六区，1950年起改划入第二区，1958年为罗定县金鸡乡所辖。1961年5月分出庙岗大队，转归金鸡公社。1983年大队改为乡，属金鸡区；1986年改为村委会，1989年一度称管理区，1998年复为村委会[2]。

文化[edit]

1993年，庙岗村被评为革命老区[2]。2019年9月，庙岗村被列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建名单[1]。
