周沙村是罗定市苹塘镇下辖的行政村，位于镇北面，距镇政府约3公里。村落约于元顺帝至正八年（1348年）建立，梁氏始祖天球公最早迁入，此后陈氏等姓相继迁来。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

1961年6月设周沙生产大队，1983年8月撤大队设周沙乡，1986年撤乡改设周沙村民委员会。1989年5月改设周沙管理区，1998年9月撤销管理区，重新设立周沙村民委员会，沿用至今。1993年被评划为革命老区。[3]

文化[edit]

据百度百科，村内乌龙自然村有「中国美丽田园」之称，周沙大田曾被评为「广东十佳最美农田」。[1]

2019年9月，周沙村名列广东省2018年「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。2024年1月，云浮市卫生健康局授予拱桥头村、田垌心村、山口岗村和下周村「2023年云浮市卫生村」称号。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

周沙石拱桥位于村委会下山洞前的小溪上，清代建造，为纵联单拱石砌拱桥，红砂岩砌筑，桥长16米，宽1.95米。该桥所在的古道贯通罗定与东安。2011年2月14日，该桥列入「第四批罗定市文物保护单位」名单。[4]
