石菴村属朗塘镇，是该镇的一个行政村。村名的来历是：村委会辖区内最大的村庄是石菴东西二村，故称石菴[1]。覃氏始祖玄昇公在明末迁居此地，成为本村委最先形成的村落，村中现有覃、李等2姓[1][2]。2026年1月，石菴村获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

明末此地建村，归泷水县一都管辖；清代属罗定州一都开阳乡，民国则归罗定县第三区。1961年分设庵东、庵西两个大队，1963年并为石庵大队。1983年改称石庵乡，1986年11月改为石庵村委会，1989年5月成为石庵管理区，1998年10月又恢复村委会的名称，一直沿用。[2]

名胜与民俗[edit]

村一带的天子岩是喀斯特溶洞，洞内有「倒挂灵芝」等钟乳石景观。[3]

每年元宵节，村中举行石菴炮会，活动有标炮头、醒狮表演和八音曲艺演奏，目前已列入罗定市非遗名录。据报道，这一习俗延续了三百多年。[4]
