古勇村位于罗定市罗平镇。清代此地属罗定州四都建水乡，1958年以后经过多次生产组织调整。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

清代此地属罗定州四都建水乡。

民国时期先后隶属罗定县第五区（罗平团）、第四区；1942年起归第二区的罗平乡，1950年5月起改隶第四区东北乡。1958年先并入罗平合作社，后于同年9月另设生产大队，归东风公社管辖；1961年6月分设大队，归罗平公社。[2]

1983年撤大队改设乡，1986年复为村民委员会，1989年改为管理区，1993年获评革命老区，1998年又恢复为村民委员会，至今未变。[2]
