罗平社区是镇中心区的社区，因驻罗平圩而得此名。1989年5月设置居民委员会，至今沿用。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

沙朗墟龙头寺遗址在社区居委会所在的沙朗墟内，始建于明代，供奉水神北帝。1994年6月8日被列为罗定市第二批文物保护单位。[2]
