东良村是太平镇的行政村。据博雅地名网，村庄始建于明万历十九年（1590年），当时隶属罗定州二都。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

清代村地隶属罗定州二都顺仁乡。民国年间，村地先在罗定县第三区太平团辖下（1912年至1931年），之后经历几次乡、保更替，1941年9月起归第三区太平乡，直到罗定解放。[2]

新中国成立后，1950年起归罗定县第一区。1958年初至夏季，村地办为合作社，此后当年秋起划入罗镜公社。1961年太平公社设立，村地在调整中分出，建为东良生产大队。1983年改设东良乡，1986年11月改设东良村民委员会，1989年设管理区，1998年9月重设村委会，沿用至今。[2]
