西良村是太平镇的行政村。据博雅地名网，翁氏先祖于明万历三十八年（1610年）迁来落户，形成村中最早的村落。村名因1961年以穿村溪流为界分设两个大队而定，本村居溪流之西。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期村地隶属罗定县第三区：1910年至1931年属太平团，1931年至1937年8月设乡；此后数年间，村地先后改属第三区的其他建制，1941年9月起至1949年末，归第三区太平乡。[2]

1950年，村地划入罗定县第一区；1958年先后隶属太平合作社、罗镜公社，1961年6月起归太平公社。1983年8月设西良乡，1986年11月改设西良村民委员会，1989年设管理区，1998年9月重设村委会，沿用至今。[2]

文化[edit]

2019年10月，西良村被收录进2019年广东省卫生村名录。西良村下属的7个自然村，于2023年5月获广东省爱卫会颁授「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
