古龙村是太平镇的行政村。据博雅地名网，蔡氏先祖于明正德五年（1510年）迁来落户，形成村中最早的村落，村庄当时归泷水县二都管辖。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

宣统年间，村地归罗定州二都顺仁乡。此后至1931年，古龙堡为罗定县第三区太平团的一部分；1931年改设古龙乡，属第三区。1942年至1950年间，村地属罗定县第三区的太平乡。[2]

1950年改归罗定县第一区。1958年2月至8月属太平合作社，同年9月起划入罗镜公社。1961年起，村地成为古龙生产大队，归太平公社。1983年8月起改称古龙乡，1986年11月改设村民委员会，1998年9月撤管理区后重设村委会，沿用至今。[2]

文化[edit]

2023年4月，古龙村入列2022年度乡村治理示范村的创建对象。2026年1月，古龙村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
