双角村是太平镇的行政村。村庄起源于晋末梁陈年间，村名先称泷阁，后改泷角；1958年办合作社时定名为“双角”，取其在地图上形似太平圩上方一对犄角的意思。村中的双角村石人像是罗定市的文物。[1][2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

此地在晋末梁陈之际已有村落，先属龙乡县；入宋元后归泷水县的顺仁乡，明朝则改属泷水县二都。清代始有双角村之名，归罗定州二都顺仁乡管辖。[2]

民国年间，村地先后设泷角堡（下辖6个自然村，归罗定县第三区太平团）、泷阁乡，其后改为保，又改为太平乡等建制，直到罗定解放。1950年至1958年，村地撤保分设为数个自然村，归罗定县第一区。[2]

1958年设双角合作社，同年改为双角营，归罗镜公社管辖。1961年，村地并入另一大队；1963年复设双角大队，此后隶属太平公社。1983年起改为双角乡，1986年改设村民委员会，1998年9月重设村委会，沿用至今。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

双角村石人像位于石仁塘自然村的石人岭上，唐以前立，石人由变质岩自然生成，略经修饰。石人露出地面高2.5米，有髻，形似一位唐代贵妇，立于地面一个石箍之上，周围留有祭祀痕迹。相传山上过去有两尊石人，现村中仍保存着其中一尊的脚箍。[3]

该石人像列入罗定市第四批文物保护单位的时间为2011年2月14日。[3]

文化[edit]

2020年8月，双角村以蚕桑产业被列入首批「广东省一村一品一镇一业专业村」。2024年4月，双角村被纳入第一批乡村振兴示范村的创建名单（广东省）。[1]
