木利村是太平镇的行政村。据博雅地名网，黄氏先祖黄鉴公于1631年迁入村中，形成最早的村落；同年村庄始建，隶属罗定州二都顺仁乡。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

民国初年，村地设睦卹村，隶属罗定县第三区太平团的鱼龙堡；1931年改设睦卹里，隶属第三区鱼龙乡。1937年至1941年改里为保，1941年9月至1949年隶属第三区太平乡。[2]

1950年设木利村，属罗定县第一区。1961年6月起归太平公社，村地一度分为三个大队，1963年合并为木利大队。1983年8月改设木利乡，1986年11月改设木利村民委员会；1998年9月重设村委会，沿用至今。[2]

文化[edit]

2019年9月，木利村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
