埒口村是太平镇的行政村。村中较早的居民为彭氏先祖，彭华公于1505年落户，村庄约在同年建村，当时隶属泷水县二都。村中还保存有时昌老屋和太西乡第一高级合作社旧址两处文物。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1516年，梁氏先祖万芳公也迁入村中。村庄于1910年才以埒口村之名出现，当时属罗定州二都顺仁乡。1912年至1931年，埒口堡下辖8村，隶属罗定县第三区太平团；1931年设埒口乡，辖10里。[2]

1961年设埒口生产大队，归太平公社。1983年至1986年10月设埒口乡，1986年11月改设埒口村民委员会；1989年设管理区，1998年9月重设村委会，沿用至今。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

时昌老屋为清中期建筑，坐南向北稍偏西，现存两路，面阔34米，现存面积约1360平方米，正立面可见两道镬耳山墙。据重修碑记载，屋宇为彭氏先人所建，对研究当地居住文化和彭氏宗族文化具有一定价值。该建筑属罗定市第四批文物保护单位，列入时间为2011年2月14日。[3]

太西乡第一高级合作社旧址是两间三层的泥砖墙建筑，四面外绕骑楼式砖柱回廊，由留法学生彭启彬建造。1954年2月25日，罗定县第一初级合作社在此设立，1956年3月升格为高级合作社。据载，它是广东省起步最早的初级合作社之一。该建筑也属罗定市第四批文物保护单位，时间与前者相同。[4]

2026年1月，埒口村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
