丽塘村是太平镇的行政村。村中最早的村落由彭氏先祖于明正统十三年（1448年）落户形成，村庄当时隶属泷水县二都。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

清代，丽塘村归罗定州二都顺仁乡管辖。民国初年设丽塘堡，下辖5村，隶属罗定县第三区太平团；1931年改设丽塘乡，辖4里。[2]

1958年设丽塘营，属罗镜公社；1961年改为丽塘生产大队，归太平公社。1983年设丽塘乡，1986年11月改设村民委员会。1989年曾设丽塘管理区，1998年9月撤管理区，重设丽塘村民委员会，沿用至今。[2]

文化[edit]

2019年9月，丽塘村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
