云沙村位于罗镜镇，村庄处于云雾缭绕的高山环抱之中，村名因此而来。[1]
地名由来[edit]
四周高山环绕，云雾缭绕，村名因此取作云沙（纱）；村委会也设在本村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
约明景泰六年（1455年）落户建村，属泷水县二都。清代设云沙村，属罗定州二都顺仁乡。清末至民国时期隶属罗定县第三区罗镜团，1931年至1941年隶属第三区镜南乡，1942年至1950年隶属罗镜乡。1950年后归罗定县第一区，1958年后属罗镜公社。1961年6月起分为几个生产大队，1974年6月合为一个云沙生产大队，1983年8月改为云沙乡。[2]
姓氏宗族[edit]
李氏始祖荆山于明景泰六年由福建龙岩县迁入，是村中最早的居民。戴氏始祖境江于清初约1637年自三水迁到罗镜，不久迁入云沙村落户，戴姓现为大姓。[2]
文化[edit]
2020年12月，广东省爱卫会授予云沙村「2020年广东省卫生村」荣誉称号。2023年5月，广东省爱卫会授予村内23个自然村「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
