镜东村位于罗镜镇，村委会设在罗镜圩东面，村名由此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
清顺治十七年（1660年）落户建村，属罗定州二都顺仁乡。陈氏始祖用伟于1660年由太平一带迁入，形成本村最早的村落。1815年，张氏自本镇另一村迁入。[2]
清末至民国时期隶属罗定县第三区罗镜团，1942年至1950年隶属第三区罗镜乡。1961年6月组成镜东生产大队，归罗镜公社。1983年8月改为镜东乡，1986年11月乡制取消，改为镜东村民委员会。1999年9月，管理区改称镜东村民委员会，经罗定市人民政府批准沿用至今。[2]
