水摆村位于罗镜镇，村中最早落户的是彭氏，此后许氏等姓陆续迁入。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明嘉靖年间（1522年至1566年）建村，当时属泷水县二都；清代归罗定州二都顺仁乡。民国期间先设水摆团，继而设乡，隶属罗定县第三区。1958年设水摆合作社，1959年11月组成水摆生产大队，归罗镜公社。1983年8月大队改为乡建制，1986年11月乡制撤销，改为村民委员会。1998年9月起，原管理区改称水摆村民委员会。1993年划为革命老区。[2]
姓氏宗族[edit]
彭氏始祖允熙于明嘉靖年间由南雄珠玑巷迁入，先到太平一带，不久迁到水摆北昆，形成村中最早的自然村落。许氏始祖万一于同期自福建漳州迁到翁源，清代中期又迁入水摆许屋村寨落户。[1][2]
