罗镜社区属罗镜镇的镇中心区，区姓是社区内的主要姓氏。[1]

社区于明万历年间由区氏始祖迁入落户而建村，清代属罗定州，1992年起称罗镜居民委员会，2025年入选广东省未来社区（完整社区）建设试点。[2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

明万历十年（1582年），区氏始祖君秀由广州一带迁到罗镜新街落户，形成社区最早的村落，同年开始建村，属罗定州二都。此后张、陈、叶等姓陆续迁入。[2]

清代设罗镜村，属二都顺仁乡。民国时期分为东圩、西圩、新街等堡，归罗定县第三区罗镜团管辖。1961年设罗镜生产大队，1983年改设罗镜镇（乡级）。1986年改设罗镜民委员会，1989年改设管理区，1992年11月设立罗镜居民委员会，沿用至今。[2]

2025年11月，社区入选「广东省未来社区（完整社区）建设试点」名单。[1][3]

名胜古迹[edit]

罗镜天主堂位于明灯村东墟尾，中华民国初年建造，为中西合璧的二层半青砖楼房。1994年6月8日公布为「罗定市第二批文物保护单位」。[4]

凌十八殉难井位于塘边一路，系私人水井。清道光年间，拜上帝会起义将领凌十八在罗镜与清军交战，最后投井殉难。该井1994年6月8日公布为「罗定市第二批文物保护单位」。[4]

蔡廷锴父母墓位于东山公园，墓后立四柱三间碑额坊，正面刻有蔡廷锴题书“生我劬劳”。1994年6月8日公布为「罗定市第二批文物保护单位」。[4]

吉庆老社坛位于岗背村，明万历年间建造，青砖砌筑，石板台。该社与吴绍麟、叶长春、潘庆三位清代水师提督有关。2011年2月14日公布为「罗定市第四批文物保护单位」。[4]

陈福初万福堂位于镇东路，中华民国时期建造，属「第五批罗定市（县）级文物保护单位」。[4]
