历史沿革[edit]

1585年，许姓先祖自郁南连滩河口迁至扶朝、永红一带，那里成为村中最早的自然村落。[2]此后，梁、罗、李、陈、林、邓、杨、邱诸姓的先祖陆续迁来定居。[2]村委会现有罗、陈、李、梁、许、邓、邱、杨、林等9姓，其中罗姓最多。[2]

1958年公社化后设大众大队，隶罗城公社；1959年11月划入大湾公社，1961年改属双东公社，1963年2月隶附城公社，1964年再属双东公社。[2]1983年撤大队改为乡，归双东区管辖。[2]
