地名由来[edit]

村委会设在新中国成立初期曾建立以民农会的地域上，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年前后，此地设有以耕、以民两个农会，“以民”之名此后用作农业合作社的名称。[2]1958年公社化后，该地并入罗城公社双东大队，1962年析出设立以民大队，属双东公社。[2]1983年撤大队设乡，1986年撤乡设立村委会。[2]1998年5月恢复以民村民委员会名称，属双东街道。[2]
