概况[edit]
社区划分为塔脚、桥南、东三个片，设十二个自然村（即居民小组），另有两个住宅小区及工厂区[2]。
2003年和2005年，社区获省委、省政府评为文明社区；2008年获授「广东省科普示范社区」和「全省民主法治示范社区」称号[2]。2020年12月，社区列入「2020年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位名单」[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
1983年，原大队改设为乡，隶附城区；1986年11月乡制取消，改设村委会，隶附城镇[1]。1988年4月，区屋村委会自文塔镇（即附城）划入罗城镇并改设居委会[1]。1989年改为管理区，属罗城镇；1998年撤管理区，居委会名称复用；2002年3月，此处定名为区屋（社区）居民委员会，归罗城街道管辖[1]。
文化[edit]
区氏将军宗祠建于清嘉庆辛未（1811年），坐东向西，一路二进，带四耳房，为硬山顶建筑[1]。
