北区社区因居委会辖区在罗城旧城北部而得名[1]。2025年11月，北区社区入选「广东省未来社区（完整社区）建设试点」名单[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

1953年民主建政时，此地分设胜利、幸福、民主三街，1958年合并称共和街。1971年改为北区居委会，1974年设大队，归罗城公社管辖，1983年改为居委会[1]。1989年改为管理区，1993年起归罗定市罗城街道管辖；1998年，居委会名称得以恢复，2002年定名为北区（社区）居民委员会[1]。

2019年9月，北区社区上榜「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位名单」[1]。

文化[edit]

三罗民众抗日指挥部旧址位于道前街，清末民初建筑，纵三进，面积1088平方米[1]。菁莪书院也在道前街，清光绪十二年（1886年）建[1]。

罗定州城墙位于北廓，始建于明景泰四年（1453年），原周长2.2公里，北面临江[1]。

兴濂书院建于清光绪二十六年（1900年），建筑面积553平方米，面宽22.6米，进深24.5米，坐西向东[1]。撷园为民国时期建筑，原为谭启秀的公馆，位于龙头岗一号[1]。
