西坝村是连滩镇下辖的一个行政村，属镇乡结合区。村名来自村委会驻地在南江河堤坝西侧的位置。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年成为西坝生产大队，1983年改设西坝乡人民政府，1987年改为村民委员会，1989年一度称管理区办事处，1999年又恢复村委会的名称。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2015年10月，农业部门推荐西坝村为「2015年中国最美休闲乡村」。[1]

首批「广东省文化和旅游特色村」中有西坝村，由省文化和旅游厅于2019年9月认定。[1]

2022年1月，西坝村被确定为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位。[1]

2022年10月，西坝村被认定为水稻类的「2022年广东省一村一品、一镇一业专业村」。[1]

2023年11月，西坝村被命名为「第五批云浮市民主法治示范村（社区）」。[1]

2024年，西坝村入选广东省「美丽庭院」特色村名单，由广东省妇女联合会确定。[2]

2026年1月，西坝村获评「广东省第二批百千万工程典型村」。[1]
