历史沿革[edit]
明朝末年，谢、张、黄等姓氏先后迁入，明末清初潘氏也迁来定居。现有谢、张、潘、黄、叶等十多个姓氏，最大的谢姓占55%。[1][2]
1961年起称深步生产大队；1983年由乡改为深步人民政府；1987年设深步村委会，1989年曾为管理区，1999年又恢复为村民委员会。驻地1966年前在潘姓祠堂，1970年代迁至现驻地。[2]
