双凤村村中以叶姓为最大姓氏，建村历史可溯至明万历年间。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

明万历十年（1582年），叶氏始祖培国公迁来定居建村，此外刘、黄等姓也陆续迁入。现有叶、黄、刘、周、卢等姓，其中叶姓占40%。[2]

民国时期隶云浮县第七区。1961年划归郁南县后，先称东坝公社双凤大队；1979年改为东坝人民公社的双凤生产大队。1983年设东坝区双凤乡人民政府，1987年归东坝镇，改设双凤村民委员会；其间（1989年）有过管理区这一建制，1999年又回到村委会。[1][2]
