东坝社区位于东坝镇镇中心区，居民委员会设在东坝街，社区之名由此而来。[1]社区内的房屋以土木结构为主，保留了部分明清建筑风格。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

社区一带各姓氏先后迁入定居。1987年成立居民委员会，2001年改制为社区居民委员会，2005年举行首届选举。[1]

2019年9月，东坝社区列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
