宋桂村是宋桂镇的行政村，2020年8月入选首批广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村，专业为蚕桑。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年，此地成为宋桂生产大队；1983年改设宋桂乡人民政府，1987年改为宋桂村民委员会。[1][3]其后，1989年改设宋桂管理区，1999年恢复村民委员会建制。[3]

2023年5月，卫东一村获广东省爱卫会颁授「2022年广东省卫生村」荣誉。[1]2024年4月，宋桂村入选「广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村」创建名单。[1]2019年9月，宋桂村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
