车岗村位于宋桂镇内，明万历年间，叶氏始祖文隆公从梅州长乐县迁入车岗，建七姓居落户。[1]村中的特色农产品有竹笋、香水柠檬和罗氏虾等。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

车岗在1958年成为生产大队，1961年4月仍沿用此名；1983年设车岗乡，1987年改称村民委员会。[1][3]

1989年一度改为车岗管理区，1999年复称车岗村民委员会。[3]

2019年9月，车岗村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]2021年12月，车岗村获广东省爱卫会颁授「2021年广东省卫生村」荣誉。[1]2023年4月，车岗村列入「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位名单。[1]2024年3月，车岗村被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]2026年1月，车岗村获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」称号。[1]
