油麻坑村位于河口镇。旧时村边的南江岸有一片沙滩，多种油麻，村名因此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

傅、练、江、叶等姓早年迁入，其后周、范、凌、吴、石、邵等姓陆续迁入。建国后属四区管辖，1958年设油麻坑生产大队，1983年改设油麻坑乡人民政府，1987年起为油麻坑村民委员会，1989年设管理区办事处，1999年复称村民委员会。2019年9月，油麻坑村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位名单」。[1][2]
