金版村位于千官镇境内，村名来自一种金黄色的硬木。2019年9月，金版村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网所述，约五百三十年前，卢、陈、林三姓先人迁到此地。当时山上多高大树木，其中一种木质坚硬、颜色金黄，适于造船，人们便称此地为「金板」，后写作金版。[1]

明清两代此地属常静都的官宁、金华二甲，民国时归绥靖乡。1958年成为金版生产大队；1983年改为金版乡；1987年起隶属千官镇，设金版村民委员会；1989年设管理区办事处；1999年又恢复村民委员会。[1]
