历史沿革[edit]

建行政村时，因村址位于千官河上游，依地理位置取名上水。[1]

黄氏始祖黄太祖公于1609年从罗定市迁入，谢氏始祖运莊公于1697年从宋桂镇迁入，村内现有王、谢、邓、黄、何等姓。[1]

1958年编为上水生产大队，1983年设上水乡政府，1989年改为管理区，1999年定名上水村民委员会；1987年起归千官镇人民政府管理。[2]
