大方社区是大方镇下辖的社区，位于镇中心区，社区居委会驻地在大方圩，社区名称由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

社区居委会始设于1952年；1993年起称大方社区居委会，2001年又改为社区居委会，2005年才有首届居委会选举，名称沿用至今。[1]

社区早年先后隶属郁南县第二区、大方管理区、大方人民公社、大方区公所和大方乡人民政府，1993年起属大方镇人民政府。[1]

2019年9月，大方社区列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
