历史沿革[edit]
明、清两代，此地归太平都管辖，民国年间并入连城乡。[2]1950年代，此地先后划归郁南县第二区、建城区和宝珠乡。[2]1958年，村为东方红人民公社的大用生产大队，1961年改隶宝珠人民公社。[2]1983年改由宝珠区管理，设大用乡政府；1987年村民委员会以大用村为名，隶属宝珠乡；1989年称大用管理区办事处，1999年才恢复为宝珠镇大用村民委员会。[2]
经济[edit]
2026年1月，本村获评第二批「百千万工程」典型村称号。[1]
文化[edit]
2019年9月，本村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]2021年12月，省爱卫会把「2021年广东省卫生村」称号授予本村。[1]
