大林村位于宝珠镇境内，明代有盘姓瑶族迁入并在此建村，此后又有多姓陆续迁入。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明、清两代此地属太平都，民国时期属连城乡，新中国成立后为郁南县第二区连城乡的行政村。[2]1950年归郁南县第二区，1955年改属建城区，1957年属宝珠乡，1993年起隶属宝珠镇人民政府。[2]1958年村属东方红人民公社，设大林生产大队；1961年改属宝珠人民公社。[2]1983年改由宝珠区大林乡政府管辖，1987年成为宝珠乡大林村民委员会，1989年改设大林管理区办事处，1999年又改回宝珠镇大林村民委员会。[2]

1970年以前，村委驻地设在「振英卢公祠」，同年迁到庙坳处，1996年才迁入现址。[2]

文化[edit]

2019年9月，本村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]2021年12月，广东省爱卫会授予本村「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]2024年3月，本村被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]
