宝珠村位于宝珠镇中部。[1]村地附近的园墩上有一块石头圆如珠子，建立行政村时取其吉祥之意，定名为宝珠。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

明、清两代，村地归太平都；民国年间属连城乡，新中国成立后仍为连城乡的行政村，划归郁南县第二区。[3]到1950年代，村先后归建城区及宝珠乡管辖，1958年起为东方红人民公社的宝珠生产大队，1961年改隶宝珠人民公社。[3]1983年，村一级改由宝珠区管理，设立宝珠区宝珠乡人民政府；1987年村民委员会以宝珠村为名，1989年一度称管理区，1993年划为宝珠镇所属。[3]1999年才恢复为宝珠村民委员会。[3]

2019年12月，本村入选「第一批国家森林乡村」名单。[2]
