1723至1735年间，史料记载已有姓氏迁入冲台村所在之地。村中现有徐、吕、江、陈、钟、黄、覃等姓，以徐、吕、钟三姓为多。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期冲台村归永安乡管辖，建国初设为行政村，公社化后成为生产大队。1980年代改设乡，1987年撤销区乡建制改设村委会，1989年划为管理区，1999年再称村委会。1950年划入郁南县第三区，1955年归建城区，1957年隶属通门乡，1993年起由通门镇人民政府管辖。[2]

2019年10月，冲台村入选「2019年广东省卫生村」名录。[1]
