顺塘村最早有何姓、覃姓迁入，如今村中主要为罗、五、陈、李、刘等姓。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年前，顺塘村属永安乡。1950年划为三区，立顺塘行政村；1953年后设乡，1958年转为生产大队；1983年改为乡人民政府，1987年改设村委会，1989年称管理区，1999年再为村委会。1955年归建城区，1957年隶属通门乡，1993年起由通门镇人民政府管辖。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2019年10月，顺塘村入选「2019年广东省卫生村」名录；同年12月，获国家林业和草原局公布的「第二批国家森林乡村」名单。[1]
