顺坦村位于桂圩镇，因驻地地势平坦，建村时取名“顺坦”，建行政村后沿用不改。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年划入第一区，称顺坦行政村；1953年建顺坦乡，1958年组建顺坦生产大队，1983年设顺坦乡人民政府。[1]

1987年成为村委会，1989年一度为管理区，1999年复为村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，顺坦村列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单。[1]
