勿坦村在桂圩镇境内，驻地位于桂河北岸，地势平坦。相传此处曾有金矿，故初称“金勿坦”，后简称“勿坦”，建行政村时沿用。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时勿坦属桂河乡。1950年归第一区，称桂中行政村；1953年成立桂中乡，1958年组建勿坦生产大队，1983年建乡人民政府。[1]

1987年起为村委会，1989年一度为管理区，1999年复称村委会。[1]

产业[edit]

村内有一处沃柑标准化种植基地，占地300多亩，带动了20余名村民就业。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2020年8月，勿坦村的蜜丝枣专业村列入首批「广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」名单。2020年11月，获评「第六届全国文明村镇」。[1]

2026年1月，勿坦村获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[1]
