古同村是平台镇下辖的行政村。村名的来历是：建村前，村民分散住在附近几处小村落，后来集中到一个大村居住，遂称「古同」，建行政村时沿用此名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村内主要有黄、老、何、梁、刘、周等姓。[1]
民国时此地称三乐乡，归铜东乡辖。建国后先隶属第一区三乐乡，设古同行政村；1958年起为生产大队。1983年起改设乡人民政府，1987年定为村委会，1989年设管理区，1999年再称村委会。[1]
文物[edit]
福留农会旧址是中华民国时期的近现代史迹，位于古同村委会辖下的福留村。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，古同村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。2020年12月，古同村被广东省爱卫会授予「2020年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
