古勉村是平台镇下辖的行政村，位于镇东部，与都城镇接壤，紧邻郁南县城。[1][2][3]村名的来历是：村后的山形似古代官员所戴的礼帽「冠冕」。1816年，莫姓从历洞迁入建村，起名「古冕」，后来「冕」改作「勉」。[1][2]

地理环境[edit]

境内有广昆高速和云苍公路穿过。[1][3]村民以种植沙糖桔为主，村内无核黄皮、沙糖桔等产业基础较好。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

建国后，此地先称建勉行政村，属郁南县第一区，1952年设建勉乡。1958年起为古勉生产大队，1983年成为乡人民政府驻地，1987年改为村委会，1989年为管理区，1999年再改为村委会。[2]

村内主要姓氏有左、莫、周、岑、钱、徐、梁。[2]

古勉遗址是汉至唐代的古遗址，位于古勉村委会。[4]

近况[edit]

2026年3月，古勉村全面启动省定典型村培育建设工作，村内推进农房风貌提升、基础设施完善和绿美景观打造。[3]
