平台镇位于广东省云浮市郁南县西部，在云开大山脉支脉铜镬大山之东，西面与广西苍梧县大坡镇相接，北面与肇庆市封开县平凤镇相邻，是两广交界的乡镇。全镇面积131.6平方千米。[1][2]

镇内以农业为主，沙糖桔、无核黄皮是郁南县的主产品种，2008年平台镇被广东省科技厅定为「广东省沙糖桔种植专业镇」。[1]2026年，平台镇入选「百县千镇万村高质量发展工程」第三批典型镇。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

元代至正年间，此地已设建制，隶属端溪县（今德庆）。万历五年之后直至民国初年，这里归西宁县管辖，西宁即今郁南。[2]1946年，此地改名铜东乡。[2]

建国后，1953年此地称平台乡；1958年并入红旗人民公社，成为其中一个管理区；1961年由红旗公社分出，另设平台人民公社。人民公社撤销后，1983年改称平台区，1987年1月才设为平台镇。[2]

地理环境[edit]

镇域东面与都城镇相连，南面与桂圩镇相邻，西南部为国营同乐林场。镇政府驻地距郁南县城32.5公里。[1][2]

地势中间高、四周低，形似台状，这是“平台”一名的由来。[2]南广高速铁路穿过镇域，线路长10.2千米，镇内设郁南站。省道368线、538线和县道871线过境，镇内通村公路均已硬底化。[1]

第七次全国人口普查结果为1.89万人。[2]百度百科另载2017年人口为24798人。[1]

平台镇在2025年5月入选「百千万工程」第二批专业镇建设名单。[2]

「2023年广东省卫生乡镇」的称号于2024年3月授予平台镇。[2]2025年1月，平台镇获广东省「基层统计‘7个一’规范化建设先进单位」称号。[4]

文化[edit]

平台麒麟白马舞起源于清朝嘉庆年间，流行于西江流域。2006年，它被评为郁南县非物质文化遗产。[5]

近年每逢正月前后，镇里举办麒麟白马民俗活动，2026年为第五届，活动中有麒麟白马、醒狮、舞龙等表演。[5][6]

名胜古迹[edit]

七堡义勇祠（全名「郁南县六区农会暨农军旧址」）在大地村，建于清咸丰十年，即1860年，2003年列为郁南县文物保护单位。[1][2]

1926年，中共郁南党组织在此设立第六区农民协会和农民自卫军，郁南县首个区级农会组织诞生于此。该祠1927年遭焚毁后迁址，抗日战争时期曾作郁南县民众武力指挥部的根据地。[1]

镇内还有古遗址和近现代史迹：来龙嘴遗址、古勉遗址、新屋村遗址属战国至唐代的古遗址；福留农会旧址和妙门练村农会旧址属中华民国时期的近现代史迹；峡山祖庙遗址为清代遗址，位于平台水库大坝左侧。[7]
