夏袭村属都城镇，为行政村，村中有金煌芒种植。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
李姓先人在嘉靖年间自封川县谷圩迁来落户，此后刘、谢、骆、岑、林等姓陆续迁入，以李姓为最多。[2]
1950年4月起村地属郁南县第一区；附城人民公社时期（1958年11月至1983年上半年），村地设夏袭生产大队；1987年改设夏袭村民委员会，1999年起沿用至今。[2]
广东省农业农村厅于2020年8月公布首批「广东省一村一品、一镇一业专业村」名单，夏袭村以金煌芒列入。2024年3月，村被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」；2026年1月，获评「广东省第二批百千万工程典型村」。[1]
