银盆村属都城镇，为镇乡结合区内的行政村。村名取自驻地背面一口形如盆状的大鱼塘。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村委会原称「银盘」，1999年随村名改为「银盆」。村中居民以袁、吴、梁、罗、黄等姓为多。[2]
1958年11月起村地划归都城镇，设银盘生产大队。1989年下半年至1999年上半年，村为银盆管理区；1999年下半年起属都城镇人民政府，设银盆村民委员会，沿用至今。[2]
2019年9月，村上榜「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单；2024年3月，被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」；2026年1月，获评「广东省第二批百千万工程典型村」。[1]
