历史沿革[edit]
林场成立于1960年。[1]
地理环境[edit]
林场所在为低山丘陵，海拔约50至180米。年均气温21.6℃，森林覆盖率91%，气候类型为亚热带海洋性季风。[1]
经营与管理[edit]
下设四个工区，分别为竹塘、林校、虾尾与黄婆坑；场部另设财会、生产、护林三个股，以及办公室。[1]
林业和旅游业是林场的主要经济来源，生产范围包括松香、木材，以及林产品加工。[1]
湿地松、红锥、火力楠等树种是林场的主要种植树种，对周边的水源涵养有作用。[1]
森林康养与旅游[edit]
2019年，林场成为首批「省级森林康养基地」试点单位。[1]
林场规划建设水台森林公园，并与「悦天下生态旅游度假区」「金水台温泉景区」一道形成生态旅游片区。[1]
