料坑村是河头镇下辖的行政村，村名的来历是此处盛产木料、土地肥沃，靠近山坑，人们在此建居而成聚落。[1]

地理环境[edit]

料坑一带出产墨绿色的辉绿岩，即「河头绿」，主要分布于料坑、步朗一带。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年10月此处属云浮县河涟乡，1950年改属新兴县第五区四甲乡，1955年改属天堂区四甲乡。1958年归河头乡，同年11月划为东风公社料坑大队；1959年属天堂公社，1961年归河头公社，仍称料坑大队。1983年设河头区公所料坑乡，1986年11月成为河头镇料坑管理区，1999年改为料坑村民委员会。[1]

2024年3月，料坑村获评「2023年广东省卫生村」。2024年4月，它被纳入省里首批乡村振兴示范村的创建范围。[1]

经济[edit]

2021年9月，料坑村入选第二批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村，产业为荔枝。[1]
