历史沿革[edit]

1950年8月，此地属新兴县第五区内东乡，1955年划为天堂内东乡。1958年2月改属内中乡，同年11月并入东风公社，设内东大队。1983年称内东乡，1989年设管理区，1999年以村民委员会的建制运作。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，内东村也列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
